What good is sitting alone in your room? Come hear the music play! Life is a cabaret, old chum. Come to the CABARET!
All Star Theatre kicks off its 2015 Summer Season with the Tony Award-winning musical Cabaret, a dynamic musical experience is set in the smoky, seedy Kit Kat Klub, reflecting the sentiment in pre-World War II, 1929 Berlin. This fresh take on an old classic will run from July 30 to August 9 at the historic Edinburg City Auditorium.
Take your seats at the Kit Kat Klub, the perfectly marvelous cabaret where singer Sally Bowles meets writer Cliff Bradshaw. As the two pursue a life of pleasure in Berlin, their world is threatened by Hitler’s rise to power. Based on Chistopher Isherwood’s Berlin Stories, Cabaret promises to be an intoxicating theatrical experience, featuring well-known musical numbers like “Willkommen,” “Maybe This Time,” and “Cabaret.”
